Wow that was a great fight.
All the respect for Sanders how took a terrible amount of shots but was still looking for his chance.
Vitali proofed a lot too he was stunned at times but was able to survive the crucial moments in the first four rounds.
I lost money but Sanders was worth every penny.
And he had his moments.
Anyway I hope that Corrie Sanders is not seriously injured and good luck to him for everything he does in the future.
Respect for Corrie who is a true warrior.

No doubt he gave his best tonight. I picked Vitali to win the fight, but i didnt like the odds, and i put a small wager on Sanders for fun, since i thought he had a punchers chance, and he did land a few. when he connected i kept getting the vision of Wlad going down, but this time he hit a guy with a chin.
All in all we saw 2 good fighters tonight, but not great. Im still hoping to see James Toney save the Heavyweight division.

Very entertaining fight. Looked like something out of a "Rocky" movie for a while. I thought the ref did a good job in stopping the fight when he did. He could have blown it and stopped it earlier but he let it go and we were treated to a few more good rounds.

It's amazing how the best fights are consitently on HBO and not on ppv. I would plunk down 50$ every night of the week to see a fight like that or the VK vs Lewis last June.

Yes, Sanders does have a solid chin and some decent heart but I think that you guys are missing the obvious. He did close to almost absolutely nothing to train for this fight. He was a fat out of shape slob. He dosent take boxing seriously enough as to where he wants to put in the work to train for a fight.

It too bad because the guy has the best punch in boxing. That left hand is NASTY and is the best knockout punch I've seen from any fighter in the game. If he trained hard, took the game seriously, and had a world class trainer he could probably dominate the division. He hits that hard.

But I think I know his mindset. He's 38 years old and happy with his life. He's at peace with himself and his life and he feels like he dosent have to go thru all the hard work of training for a fight because he's just enjoying life. The thing is I dont think he has to give any of that up to train hard for a fight. I think he can have the best of both worlds but hey - he's 38 and he's probably thinking whats the point?

He looked like a white George Foreman in there though. Down to a tee.

Am i mistaken or are you becoming a Sanders fan ?
Just watched his interview after the fight and he sure is a no bullshit guy he said that the ref did a perfect job with stoping the fight and that he is inclined to retire. he also thinks that a fit Lennox would ko Vitali in 6 rounds. (answer on specific question)
He said also he trained hard for the fight.
I believe him not everybody is a ageless Hopkins.

Before the fight he also said he was fully prepared to go 12 rounds. He wasnt prepared to go 3. He was dead tired halfway thru the 2nd. If you believe he trained hard for the fight I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.
